So much wisdom. So much truth. And so many stories.

Once again, in this second volume in the successful Touched by the Parashah series, Rabbi Yechiel Spero, master teacher, gifted storyteller, and bestselling author, shares his insights and, of course, his stories, on the weekly Torah portion.

Rabbi Spero draws upon the wisdom of literally hundreds of commentators, from classic to contemporary, to explore many crucial themes of each parashah in Sefer Vayikra, Bamidbar and Devarim. We see why a child's first encounter with Torah traditionally begins with Sefer Vayikra, and learn the vital life lesson of its very first word. We shudder at the sin of the Spies – and examine our own lives to ensure we don't share their shortcomings.

And, of course, we enjoy Rabbi Spero's marvelous, poignant true stories.

So many stories, each one a gem. An old man's missing teeth tell the story of unbelievable devotion to Hashem. A matzah shortage in Jerusalem teaches a lesson in zerizus, alacrity. A homeless man gives the Chozeh of Lublin a haircut, and we discover the secret of hidden self-sacrifice. A guru in India finds a lost wallet – and his misguided Jewish disciple finds her lost heritage. Each true account tells its tale of determination and courage, of mesirus nefesh, of our loyalty to Hashem and His loving loyalty to us.

In this wonderful book we will be taught, inspired, and, warmed by the weekly parashah.
